    What time is check-in?

    Hotel residents can check in at 3.00 pm on the day of arrival. Should you arrive at the hotel earlier, we are happy to store luggage until your room is ready.

    What time is check-out?

    Check-out is 11.00 am on the day of departure. Late check-out may be available for a fee and must be arranged with the reception during your stay.

    Does the hotel offer baggage storage?

    Yes, hotel residents can leave luggage in our secure luggage store at the reception free of charge before check-in or after check-out. 

    Does the hotel offer free WiFi?

    Yes, Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre offers free high-speed WiFi to all guests in our bedrooms and public areas.

    Is there a laundry service available?

    Yes, there is a dry cleaning service available to all hotel residents for a charge. Information can be found on our Guest Services Platform or from reception.

    What do I do if I accidentally leave some items in the hotel? 

    If you have left any items behind following your stay at the hotel, please contact our reception directly via phone at +44 (0)161 398 0230 or email res.manchestercity@maldronhotels.com and a member of our team will be in touch to organise collection or postage if the item is found.

    Are pets permitted in the hotel?

    No, pets are not allowed in the hotel—with the exception of guide and assistance animals.

    Is the hotel reception desk open 24 hours a day?

    Yes, our reception desk is open 24 hours a day with reception available to assist hotel residents.

    What is the hotel’s smoking policy?

    Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre operates a strictly non-smoking policy. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in an additional deep cleaning charge.

    Is the hotel accessible?

    Yes, the hotel has been built with accessibility in mind, with an accessible hotel entrance, elevators to all floors and 16 accessible bedrooms—two of which feature a hoist throughout the room to aid movement.

    Do you sell gift vouchers?

    Yes, we sell gift vouchers at our reception desk and online which can be used across various Maldron Hotels, Clayton Hotels and sister properties for overnight accommodation, dining and leisure facilities.

    Do you provide printing facilities for boarding passes?

    Yes, our reception team can help you print your boarding pass.

    Does the hotel offer currency exchange?

    No, we don’t offer currency exchange at the hotel, but we will be happy to direct you to the nearest location.

    What room types does the hotel offer?

    Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre boasts 278 hotel rooms. You can choose between our Deluxe Double, Deluxe Double Single, Executive King Rooms or Accessible Double rooms.

    Are there wheelchair accessible rooms available?

    Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre has 16 accessible bedrooms. Each room features a walk-in shower, lower bed and wider doors throughout.  

    Are the hotel rooms air-conditioned?

    Yes, air-conditioning is available throughout the hotel, including in all of our bedrooms and communal areas.

    Do the bathrooms have a shower or bath?

    All of our bathrooms feature double-head rainfall showers. No baths are available. 

    Does the room include tea and coffee making facilities?

    Yes, all of our rooms include tea and coffee making facilities. Our Executive King Rooms feature a Nespresso coffee machine as standard.

    Does the hotel offer wake-up calls?

    Yes, you can request a wake-up call with our reception team.

    What amenities are included in the room?

    Each of our hotel rooms offers luxurious and comfortable King Koil beds, air conditioning, complimentary WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, USB charge points, flat-screen TV with Chromecast, hairdryer, telephone, ironing station and laptop safe.

    What dining options are available at the hotel?

    Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre has several dining options available throughout the day, 7 days a week. Our Vitality Breakfast is served from 6.00am – 10.30am from Monday to Friday and 6.30am – 11.00am on weekends & public holidays. 

    Grain & Grill Bar and Restaurant is open daily serving lunch and dinner until 10.00pm. 

    The Red Bean Roastery Coffee Shop is open from 7am – 6pm daily, serving our own unique blend of handcrafted barista coffee.

    Hotel residents can also order room service 24-hours a day.

    Does the hotel offer breakfast?

    Yes, we serve a great selection of breakfast options each morning—from traditional grilled breakfast items to healthier and nutritious options to kickstart your morning. 

    Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre offers both room only and breakfast-inclusive accommodation. If breakfast isn’t included in your booking, you can purchase it when you arrive at the hotel for only £13.50 per person, or £8.00 per child (up to 12 years old). You can also pay for breakfast on the day for £15.95 per person.

    Breakfast is served at our Grain & Grill Restaurant 7 days a week from 6am to 10.30am Monday to Friday and from 6.30am to 11am at weekends and bank holidays.

    What are the opening times of the Grain & Grill?

    Grain & Grill Bar and Restaurant is open from 11am to 10pm, 7 days a week.

    Does the restaurant cater food for allergies?

    Yes, all of our menus contain a full allergy listing. Please inform your waiter if you have any allergies or dietary requirements and our kitchen team will be delighted to assist.

    Does Gain & Grill offer a dedicated kid’s menu?

    Yes, we offer a dedicated kids menu for your little ones.

    Do you provide room service?

    Yes, 24-hour in-room dining is available to hotel residents. Scan the QR code in your room to view the menu and order directly through our Guest Service Platform or call reception to order. There is a £4.00 tray charge to deliver to your room, or you can choose to collect from the bar free of charge.  

    Do you cater for large groups? Can I book a private dining space for a special occasion?

    Yes, we can cater for large groups in the hotel and can offer private dining space for special occasions. Contact our Meeting and Events team to make an enquiry by emailing sales.manchestercity@maldronhotels.com.

    Are there meeting and event room facilities available at the hotel?

    Yes, we offer 2 modern and well-appointed meeting rooms with extensive break-out space at Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre.

    With floor-to-ceiling windows, our bright and engaging meeting rooms are perfect to host team building events, training courses, seminars, public talks, workshops or boardroom meetings.

    If you are looking for somewhere to work remotely in Manchester, take a seat in our Red Bean Roastery Coffee Shop. With charging points, free high-speed WiFi and space to spread out and enjoy good coffee, it’s the ideal spot for working on the move.

    Does the hotel facilitate conferences?

    Yes, we can facilitate small conferences. Both of our meeting rooms can accommodate up to 50 people theatre-style and 30 people cabaret style. To enquire, please contact sales.manchestercity@maldronhotels.com

    What equipment is included in the meeting rooms?

    All our meeting rooms are equipped with a built-in flat-screen TV and projector, flipchart, water, stationery and mints as well as floor to ceiling windows and black-out blinds. In addition, air conditioning and free high-speed WiFi is provided in all meeting rooms.

    Are there food and beverage options available?

    What is Make It Maldron and how do I sign up?

    Signing up to Make it Maldron means you can save £10 per room per night every time you book directly on our website (excludes selected sale and promotional special offers). To sign up, visit our Make It Maldron page and join in 3 simple steps to ensure your discount is applied to all future online bookings.

    You can use your Make it Maldron discount at any Maldron Hotel across Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. 

    What is the best way to make a reservation?

    What should I do if I haven’t received a booking confirmation?

    If you have not yet received a booking confirmation by email, please check your junk/spam folder of your inbox. Alternatively, you can also contact our reservations team via phone on +44 (0)161 398 0230 or email res.manchestercity@madronhotels.com and they will be happy to help.

    What payment methods does the hotel accept? 

    At Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre, we accept cash, all major debit and credit cards including contactless payments through Apple Pay and Amazon Pay.

    Pre-payment can be made online either at the time of booking or via our online check-in process. 

    What is the hotel’s credit/debit card policy?

    Bookings require a credit card for a guarantee only unless otherwise stated. For some special offers and specific dates, full payment is required at time of booking but these terms will be outlined in the special offer terms & conditions. For bookings being paid in cash, we will require photographic ID. No rooms will be let unless payment is guaranteed.

    How do I make a group or multiple room booking?

    Are there any age restrictions when booking a hotel room?

    To book a hotel room, you must be at least 18 years old. All under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian or parent.

    Can I show up at the hotel without a booking?

    Yes, we accept walk-in bookings. However, we would always recommend calling ahead to the hotel or pre-booking online prior to arriving to secure your reservation and to avoid disappointment.

    Can I extend my stay?

    Yes, depending on availability, we’ll be happy to accommodate you for further nights at an additional cost. Please approach our reception team at any stage during your stay and they will happily arrange the rest for you.

    How can I amend or cancel my booking?

    If you have booked directly with the hotel, you can amend or cancel your booking by visiting the ‘Manage Booking’ section on our website by using your confirmation number and email address. Alternatively, you can call us directly on +44 (0)161 398 0230 or email res.manchestercity@madronhotels.com to cancel or amend your booking.

    What is the cancellation policy?

    If you have made a reservation directly with the hotel online or over the phone, Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre offers free cancellation up to 2pm prior to the day of arrival. However, some special offers and key dates outlined in the terms and conditions of your booking may specify a special cancellation policy applicable to that offer and date.

    What does the “no-show” policy entail?

    If you do not show on the day of your booking or didn’t successfully cancel, you will be charged the full amount for your first night’s stay. If you have booked our “advanced purchase” or “prepay and save” rates, you will incur a 100% penalty charge for the entire duration of your stay.

    How can I cancel my reservation if I booked via a third-party website?

    If you have booked via a third-party website, you will need to contact the third-party website directly to amend or cancel your booking as we cannot do that on your behalf. Please note that they have their own cancellation policies, so please refer to your confirmation email.

    How far is the hotel from Manchester city centre? 

    Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre is situated in the heart of Manchester city centre, on Charles Street. We are conveniently located just a 4-minute walk from Oxford Road train station and a 9-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly—and less than 15-minutes to Manchester Central Convention Complex and the Arndale Centre.     Are there any shopping areas nearby?

    Yes, Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre is ideally located for a shopping break in Manchester.

    The main shopping areas including Market Street, Arndale Centre and The Royal Exchange are within a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The Trafford Centre is a 20-minute drive away or you can hop on a tram from the nearby St Peter’s Square Metrolink stop.

    What is the closest train station?

    Oxford Road is the closest train station to Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre and is only a 4-minute walk away. Manchester Piccadilly train station is located within a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from the hotel. 

    What is there to see and do around the hotel?

    Our hotel is ideally located in central Manchester, within walking distance of the city’s thriving entertainment venues such as Bridgewater Hall, AO Arena, Palace Theatre, Manchester Opera House and the Manchester Central Convention Complex.

    If you’re going on a shopping trip to Manchester, you can walk to the main shopping areas including Market Street, Arndale Centre and The Royal Exchange within a 15-minutes. The Trafford Centre is a 20-minute drive away or you can catch a direct tram from the nearby St Peter’s Square Metrolink stop.

    A visit to Manchester isn’t complete without soaking in the atmosphere of the city’s two famous football teams. Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City, is an 11-minute drive from the hotel, or you can catch a direct tram from the nearby St Peter’s Square stop to Etihad Campus tram station. Manchester United’s Old Trafford is a 9-minute drive from the hotel, or you can take the tram from St Peter’s Square direct to Old Trafford Station.

    Is there a car rental station near the hotel?

    The nearest car hire station to Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre is Enterprise Rent-A-Car, who have 4 sites within a 15-minute walk from our hotel, at Chepstow Street, Whitworth Street, Cambridge Street and Samuel Ogden Street.

    Is parking available at the hotel?

    There is no parking on-site, however, we have agreed a discounted rate with Euro Car Park York Street which is located just a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

    The price of parking is £13.50 for 24 hours and you can pay directly at the hotel reception when you check-injust provide our team with your registration. The car park operates automatic number plate recognition so there is no need to print a parking ticket and display it in your car.

    There is also on-street parking available around the hotel building, close to our drop-off point on Charles Street.
